This is an early example of my painting with oil glazes. I wanted to capture the essence of Steichen’s figurative photos; his partially viewed bodies, allowing the viewer to complete the composition. This painting is heavily influenced by Steichen’s photo; I offer it as an example of the mysterious quality of glazing.
