Bowing to Eternity

The intimacy of exploring our innermost feelings during meditative stillness, allows solitude and thought to awaken our connection with the infinite.  In so doing, the recognition that we have always been connected on both a grand scale and an infinitesimal one allows us to explore the webbing, or interconnectedness, of matter, space and time.  Perhaps the most extraordinary realization in this lifetime is "knowing" that life/energy continues beyond our quantifiable physical realm.  There is much we cannot scientifically prove or assess.  Within our atoms is a containment of vast sources of energy and an innate "knowledge" of all that…


 

A Break in the Storm

Hurricane Sandy and the following superstorms have inspired this painting, as have the magnificent skies over the Atlantic Ocean surrounding St. Barths, Cape Cod and Florida.  I continue to explore the power of waves on canvas, beginning to include the ethereal layer of vapor and light.  This canvas is my expression of hope as it breaks through the turbulence.

Inspiration

One need look no further than the ocean or sky for creative inspiration on the forces of Nature and Life itself.  This is a color photo of the Atlantic taken this morning from Florida.  The waves are a reminder of the powerful forces within the ocean's hypnotic dance between hopefulness, tranquility and the turbulence of life itself.  Looking outward and inward at once; describing thought through the observance of Nature.
