I continue to be inspired by Hurricane Sandy and the superstorms that followed. In this piece the power of the waves and the turbulence of the storm is broken by the hopefulness of light. Although this piece is painted from my imagination, this past winter I have marveled at the morning sun filtering through thick layers of clouds clustered above the horizon.
