The surf from Hurricane Sandy continued to roar through my system long after the winds had moved on. I could feel the waves thundering and crashing as the ground shook. I needed to get that feeling carved onto canvas. There is a Japanese feeling to the representation of the wave paintings; minimal information of color and form, and intense focus on the subject.
